About

Hi there. My name is Frank Alic; I am a software engineer with Spreadshirt and mainly responsible for the Spreadshirt T-Shirt Designer. In that capacity i munch tons of ActionScript code and my hunger keeps growing.
Flash went into my life around 1998. The introduction of the Flex framework in 2004 thrilled me and gave me a completely new view on developing rich internet applications. It was only within a stone’s throw to my first Java application and from thenceforward i completely glued to this symbiosis.

Before Spreadshirt went into my life i freelanced for major companies and also was involved on lots of smaller projects. Every single project  enriched my view on aspects of developing professional RIAs. Thanks to Spreadshirt i am now faced with the daily provocations of developing such RIA’s within an enterprise ecosystem. Almost every day comes up with something new and exciting which sometimes is a challenge and a pleasure at the same time. In this blog a want to share my impressions and random thoughts on questions of architecture, technologies and the daily madness of a young, vibrant and very exciting (often so-called) web2.0 company.

Best,
Frank
